The Vallecito Union School District is composed of two K-5 schools and one 6-8 middle school. The district also has a Home School Academy located on the Albert Michelson School campus in Murphys. The Avery Middle School is located in Avery. Together, these schools house our K-8 population of 751 students. Our Staff consists of 4 administrators, 43 certified teachers and 55 classified employees. Various District supported school site programs provide for the educational and emotional growth of our students. Both Hazel Fischer and Michelson Elementary Schools have been named as California Distinguished Schools. District-wide test scores are consistently the highest in the county. Our annual budget is $7,811,677 with a revenue limit per ADA of $6,113.68.
